Check out our Fall Newsletter to see what has been happening at Interval House!

Since the pandemic, intimate partner violence has been at an all time high, with many towns and cities across Canada are declaring it an epidemic. Before COVID-19, a woman in Canada was killed by her partner every six days. Now, it’s every two days.

It is because of your support that we are able to provide a safe environment for women and children fleeing abuse and give them a real chance for a new beginning. Thanks to you, Interval House has remained a trailblazer in finding innovative solutions to support survivors, and provide them with the tools and resources they need to regain independence and build new lives.

As the need for our services continues to grow, we are excited to be able to share some updates on our new programming, such as the Financial Literacy Pilot Project, Virtual Counselling Services, and the Mom and Me Group Counselling Program.

In this newsletter, you’ll also read about the impact your generosity has had on women like Florence, a survivor of intimate partner violence, who was able to gain meaningful employment and is now raising her daughters in a spacious, affordable home thanks to the Rent Subsidy Program.

You can read more about how your support makes safe housing and new beginnings possible in our most recent newsletter.

Thanks to your incredible support, Interval House can continue pushing boundaries, offering programs that empower women and children to not only survive, but to thrive.
