Check out our Fall Newsletter to see what has been happening at Interval House!

This year marks 50 years since Interval House opened its doors to women and children experiencing abuse at home. In those five decades, a lot has changed.

From humble beginnings, we have grown from a small bare-bones shelter into a comprehensive centre offering an array of innovative and specialized services to survivors of intimate partner violence.

Women and children who arrive at our doorstep have been through hell and back. Many have endured unimaginable abuse at the hands of their partners. Most have suffered in silence for years before seeking help. And yet, through it all, each one possesses tremendous courage.

It is this amazing courage that inspires us every day.

Your support provides a life-saving haven for women and children fleeing abuse to rebuild their lives. We are deeply grateful for your generosity which allows us to provide essential services to survivors like emergency shelter, 24-hour counselling, financial and housing assistance, and employment services and so much more.

Thanks to you, we are also launching new programming! We’re expanding our reach through the Virtual Counselling Services Pilot, which will make our support network and resources accessible to even more women in need.

We’re also launching a new Financial Literacy Pilot Project, which will empower women who have survived abuse to regain financial independence.

You can read more about some of the ways your support is changing lives, and learn more about our exciting new programs in our most recent newsletter.

As we look to the next 50 years and beyond, thank you for being a vital part of our mission to empower and uplift women and children who have faced violence. Together, we are creating a brighter and more hopeful future for countless women and children!
