Women’s Program

Why we created this program

Since the founding of Interval House, we’ve recognized the need to provide comprehensive support to survivors of intimate partner violence, addressing their emotional, practical, and social needs.

About Our Women’s Program

In our Women’s Program, we work with survivors to break the cycle of violence, introduce new strategies for forming healthy relationships; and empower clients to lead healthy, productive, self-sufficient lives.

In addition to counselling, we offer:

  • Expressive Art Group to help women process trauma through creative expression.
  • Workshops on parenting and other subjects on demand to offer knowledge and skills for navigating daily life challenges.
  • Cultural Interpreters and ESL services to ensure language isn’t a barrier to accessing support or resources.
  • Legal support to help women access legal aid and navigate the complex legal system when there are charges against an abuser and/or custody disputes
  • Financial support to help women get back on their feet and regain financial independence
  • Social activities to encourage healing through self-care and community building.
  • Housing assistance to help women find a safe, permanent place to live

Our Goals

Our holistic approach aims to provide survivors with access to the tools and resources they need to help them heal and rebuild their lives.
