Would you like to help women and children who have fled their violent homes and are trying to rebuild their lives?

Although Interval House volunteers do not act as counsellors or professional advocates, there are many ways that people can help women and children who have survived violence.

Volunteers assist in a variety of tasks in the Residential and Community programs, as well as in the administration of the centre.

Interval House can also use your help on specific, targeted projects – capacity building workshops for staff and residents, support during special events, or organizing donations.

Your talent, skills and hobbies can all be put to good use. Plant a flower and vegetable garden, plan healthy meals, organize a computer workshop, make crafts with children, offer to accompany women to an appointment.

Lend us your time, energy, and ideas and help transform the lives of women and children. Volunteer opportunities exist in our Residential Program, Community Programs, and administrative offices.

Please note that the Ministry of Community and Social Services requires police reference checks and personal references for all Interval House volunteers prior to them volunteering at the agency.
